Hexagon Medley Wrap

"Hexagon Medley Crochet Wrap - This wrap’s design features a mixture of hexagons and triangles, with Lion Brands infamous Mandala yarn, creating an attractive medley of shapes and colors. The pattern for the motifs are similar to the traditional hexagon and triangle motifs, only I’ll be changing how we start out our rounds. The simple tweaks to the traditional motifs are to achieve the filet mesh and to size the triangles for matching up later."

The geometrical shapes in this wrap give it a very art deco and modern look. The colors are beautiful and blend together very nicely and the palette is one that should match almost anything. Cooler weather will be coming to some of you soon, not us here in FL though. But this would be good for my friends.

Tricia108, you need to get onboard and create something with the fabulous Mandala yarn! You won't be sorry. You may, however, become addicted to it like I am. I look for any excuse in the book to buy some. I simply have to try at least every colorway at least once. I have my faves, too! Sphinx I haven't worked with yet. I think this wrap is modern, smart, and refined in design. And the chunky jumbo tassel adds to it nicely!

This is a lovely wrap. I have not worked with the mandala yarn before but now is a good time to try it. I make a lot of wraps because I am always cold and it is a nice addition to an outfit. In addition, they make nice gifts. If you want to, this pattern would also be a great stash buster. The instructions are very detailed along with photos and it will work up quickly. Thank you.

Hexagons are not my favorite geometric shape, but they do work well for this project. It certainly gives a different look to your run of the mill wrap. The designer takes the crafter step by step through each part of the pattern and lets you know exactly how many you need of each piece. She also has a very nice set of photos showing how to lay the pieces out and stitch them together.
